The bass fishing world will be honoring the newest members of the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame, and tickets and tables are now available for the dinner and induction ceremony taking place at Sam’s Town Casino/Resort Ballroom in Shreveport on Friday, Feb. 24. The evening kicks off 6:30pm, with dinner beginning at 8pm. Tickets are $50, and corporate tables for 10 are also available for $1000 – visit www.bassfishinghof.com for more details. The 2012 class includes longtime B.A.S.S. photographer Gerald Crawford, 1982 Bassmaster Classic winner Paul Elias, award-winning videographer Glenn Lau, and bass boat innovator Holmes Thurmond. Along with keynote speaker Jerry McKinnis, B.A.S.S. co-owner and noted TV angler, the evening will also include a special tribute to Ray Murski, a Bass Fishing Hall of Fame member and charter board member who died this past December. There will be silent auction during the evening festivities, with prizes including fishing trips with leading bass fishing celebrities, rods, reels, lures and tackle bags from all the major manufacturers, along with hunting trips and gear. For more information on the BFHOF induction dinner, call 888/690-2277, or follow the Hall on Facebook at www.facebook.com/bfhof. Dinner ticket deadline is Friday, Feb. 17.

![]() It seems like we hear about or witness cheating anglers more often with each passing year. I don't know if it's the prestige of winning a bass tournament or the money that goes along with it, or both. |
